Linden - William J. McBee, 84, of Linden died at 2:30 a.m. today in the Lane Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. He had been in failing health for a year and a patient in the nursing home since August. He had been a farmer until his retirement 19 years ago. He was a past master and 50 year member of the Linden Masonic Lodge. Born March 31, 1890, in Montgomery County, he was a son of Martin Z and Laura Newkirk McBee. He was married to Orpha Parker at Linden in 1912. She died in 1954. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George (Martha Louise) Inskeep of New Richmond; a brother, Frank of Linden; two sisters, Mrs. Vena Turnipseed and Mrs. Debbie Campbell of Darlington; a granddaughter, Sue Ann Garceau of Bowling Green, Ky.; and grandson, Richard Inskeep, f Indianapolis; and two great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Helms funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Henry Oaks officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
